About us

The Dorval Historical Society (DHS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 by Dorval residents Germaine Racine, Ann Lachance, and Jean-Louis Rousse, who wanted to promote and preserve Dorval’s history for future generations.

For over 40 years, the organization has been supported and managed by dedicated volunteers who ensure the preservation and sharing of Dorval’s heritage through activities organized for members, as well as the publication of books and an annual magazine.

Working closely with the Dorval Museum of History and Heritage, the DHS maintains an archive of documents and photos that members of the public can consult by appointment.
